The Remarried Empress (Nov 4, Disney+)

The month’s biggest premiere adapts Alphatart’s hit web novel and webtoon. Shin Min-a plays Navier, the Empress of the Eastern Empire. Her life falls apart when Emperor Sovieshu (Ju Ji-hoon) brings Rashta (Lee Se-young), a runaway slave, into the palace and plans to make her empress. Instead of accepting the humiliation, Navier agrees to the divorce and remarries Prince Heinrey of the Western Kingdom (Lee Jong-suk). The series runs 10 episodes: four on November 4, then two every Wednesday until the November 25 finale.
Our take: Webtoon readers already know the big beats, so the real test is whether Lee Se-young can make Rashta more than a villain. Read our Remarried Empress cast guide and where to watch guide.
Possible Love (Nov 6, Netflix)

This one is a film, not a series, but K-drama fans will want it on their list. It is director Lee Chang-dong’s first film in eight years and South Korea’s official entry for the Oscars’ Best International Feature. Jeon Do-yeon and Sul Kyung-gu lead an adult romance that runs about 2 hours 44 minutes. It won the Silver Lion Grand Jury Prize at Venice and played Toronto before landing on Netflix worldwide. More in our Possible Love article.
Happy Anding (Nov 6, tvN)
A warm comedy about Asura, a comedy trio that has spent ten years chasing a big break. Their leader (Kang Hoon) and his partners meet a devoted, sheltered fan (Lee E-dam), and that meeting pushes all of them into a new chapter. It airs Fridays and Saturdays.
Our take: This is the low-pressure pick of the month, good for viewers who want laughs between heavier shows.
Sword and Silence (Nov 14, KBS2)
KBS’s big historical drama is set in the 7th century, during the Three Kingdoms period. Jang Hyuk plays Goguryeo’s military strongman Yeon Gaesomun, Kim Kang-woo plays Kim Chun-chu, and Park Sung-woong plays the famous general Kim Yu-shin. Expect battles, shifting alliances, and political scheming on weekend nights. New to sageuk? Start with our historical K-drama list.
Crash 2: Road of Fury (Nov 16, ENA / Genie TV)
The Traffic Crime Investigation team returns, now promoted to a national unit that chases criminals across the country. Lee Min-ki, Kwak Sun-young, and Heo Sung-tae are back. NCT’s Jisung joins in his first acting role as a young officer who idolizes the team. Season 1 peaked at a 6.6% rating, one of ENA’s best results. It airs Mondays and Tuesdays.
Good Partner 2 (Nov 20, SBS)
Jang Na-ra returns as divorce lawyer Cha Eun-kyung, who now runs her own firm. Her new partner is Kim Hye-yoon (Lovely Runner), a lawyer who gets personally invested in every client, which clashes with Eun-kyung’s results-first style. Park Hae-jin joins as a rival lawyer. Season 1 peaked at 17.7% nationwide, so expectations are high. It airs Fridays and Saturdays, 16 episodes. See our Good Partner 2 article.
The Blue Road (Nov 20, Netflix)
A body is found in Tokyo with a message written in Korean in blood. Then a similar body turns up in Korea with Japanese writing. Korean detective Kim Seok (Son Suk-ku) and Japanese detective Inose (Eita Nagayama) must work across borders, languages, and police systems to catch the killer. All 8 episodes drop at once. Read where to watch The Blue Road.
Our take: Son Suk-ku in a dark crime role is a strong bet. With only 8 episodes, it’s a one-weekend binge.
Also expected in November (dates to be confirmed)
- Nine to Six: Park Min-young and Yook Sung-jae in a workplace romance adapted from the Chinese drama The Rational Life. Platform and date are still being reported differently, so check back.
- Portraits of Delusion: Bae Suzy and Kim Seon-ho reunite (they last shared the screen in Start-Up) in a 1930s mystery about a painter and a woman who has hidden from the world for decades. Director Han Jae-rim leads it for Disney+.
